Equipment
- Acid- Hydrochloric Acid
- Base- Sodium Hydroxide
- Test Tube Rack with test tubes
- Universal indicator
- Red cabbage Ph Indicator
- Get your equipment.
- Put 10 drops of Universal Indicator into the test tube.
- Add different amounts of acid and base into the test tube.
- Watch what happens to the colour.

Discussion:
- When you put acid and base together it neutralise it.
- An acid is any substance that in water solution tastes sour, changes blue litmus paper to red.
- You can measure your acid with a test tube or a special device called a pH probe.
- The pH colours are between 3 parts of ROYGBIV and they are acidic, Neutral and alkaline.
